This November, Scottish Rogue are teaming up with Van Winkle, Glasgow’s only dedicated bourbon bar, to create a unique whiskey tasting session, opposite the iconic Barrowlands Ballroom.

For many drinkers, the worlds of Scotch Whisky and American Whiskey are separated by more than the Atlantic Ocean, but we’ll be delving into the history and exploring the connections between the two spirits.

We’ll be exploring the world of Rye, Bourbon, and American Whiskey, whilst highlighting the role played by Scottish settlers in its development.

We’ll discuss the geological connections between Scotland and Kentucky, and follow the path of Scottish settlers from New York and Chicago, as they headed southwards.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Scottish Rogue event if there wasn’t some music, so we’ll be inviting some local musicians along to bring some Bluegrass and Americana vibes to the party.

We’ll be pouring drams and telling tales on Friday 6th November. The fun kicks off at 7 pm, and the whiskey and music will take us through to 9:30.

Tickets cost £35 and include a Welcome Cocktail, 5 Whiskeys, and Live Music.
