SCOTTISH ROGUE: WHISKY EXPERIENCES IN GLASGOW
Scottish Rogue is a Glasgow business and we are fiercely proud of our home city. In our opinion, there has never been a better time for whisky lovers to visit. Now we want to spread that message far and wide.
In the last decade, two distilleries have opened within the city boundaries: Glasgow and The Clydeside. Ten miles away, in East Kilbride, you’ll find the new Jackton Distillery. In Duntocher, Auchentoshan, the great surviver of the lowlands, produces triple distilled whisky as it has since 1823. At the foot of Dumgoyne Hill, straddling the lowland and highland divide rests Glengoyne. Beyond that, are distilleries as diverse as Deanston, Tullibardine, Glenturret, Rosebank and Loch Lomond.

Glasgow is blessed with world class whisky bars and fantastic restaurants. Its music scene is second to none (UNESCO City of Music 2024). There’s a lively contemporary arts scene that encouraged Banksy to choose Glasgow as the location for his Cut & Run Exhibition and Yardworks is one of the largest street art festivals in Europe. Glasgow is a dynamic modern city that is both exciting and vibrant yet it also has a long history with many a tale to tell.

At Scottish Rogue, we believe Glasgow is underappreciated among Scotland’s visitors, especially those who have an interest in whisky. People pass through on the way to other destinations and those who spend time here, do so almost as an afterthought only to leave wishing they had more time in the city.
This incredible city is an untapped resource. It’s a sleeping giant of tourism and the developing whisky scene can play a huge role in realising that vast potential.
We believe it’s time to put Glasgow firmly on the whisky map.
