The Clydeside comes to Dram Jam
Scottish Rogue has always had Glasgow at its heart. We want to show people what the city has to offer, especially in terms of whisky, and that means shining a light on all the big players in the local whisky scene. They don’t come much bigger than the Clydeside.
To say the Clydeside has been a welcome addition to Glasgow would be a massive understatement. Its arrival brought a much-needed helping of whisky tourism to the city for the first time, and the benefits grew exponentially when the first single malt was launched.
As popular as the distillery has been as a destination, however, Scottish Rogue would like to see the Clydeside’s product celebrated more in its hometown. In fairness, the Morrison family, owners of the distillery, have been happy to take a patient approach. The first core product, Stobcross, launched in 2021. The next core release, Napier, didn’t arrive until 2024.
It’s always been about slow and steady growth, rather than flooding the market, but 2025 saw an acceleration, with the long-awaited launch of the third core offering. Fortnight, named after the two weeks the distillery dedicates to producing peated spirit, completed a trilogy core range consisting of three very different, yet equally high-quality single malts.

This expansion of available releases, coupled with some exceptional limited editions (we named Velvet Odyssey in our Top Ten Whiskies of 2025), left us convinced that it was time to start beating the Clydeside drum in Glasgow. No bar in this city should be without a bottle on the gantry, and no local whisky drinker should be unfamiliar with the distillery’s charms.
Join us at the Old Toll Bar, on Paisley Road West, on Friday 6th March for the latest edition of Dram Jam. As always, we’ll be providing a Welcome Cocktail on arrival, followed by 5 drams that will showcase the Clydeside’s spirit in all its glory. We’ll be joined on the night by Clydeside and AD Rattray brand ambassador Max Maartense, who’ll be on hand to tell us all about the distillery and its whisky.
*An alternative cocktail tasting option is available, should non-whisky drinkers wish to attend.
